SURVIVE! Gear

There's almost a matching hobo stove already... But imagine it in 3V ;)

Cordage and fire staring implements of all types. I would love a solid copper S!K Zippo. Just sayin'.

US Made handkerchiefs would be great, blaze orange or olive colored.

Klean Kanteens with Survive!'s logo.

Some kind of compact and inexpensive fire steel striker.

Any plans to sell custom ferro' rods, with handles to match your knives?

Oh yeah, hats...Watch cap type hats, made in USA. Some advanced synthetic that breathes and insulates would be awesome, I'm not up to date on the latest in hat technology so I have no clue what that would be. Blaze orange and OD Green reversible would be epic.

Problem is that S!K jerky would be so tough it couldn't be chewed!

Some leather strops would be good to sell too. Spyderco stones work amazingly well for field use

Maybe someone could produce a strop/jerky combo. Black pepper on one side and green compound on the other. Maybe offer smoked and teriyaki as well? Functional and edible.

Anyways, you guys are killing me with this Zippo talk. A Zippo with the S! logo would be hard to resist.

Also a quality handkerchief with the logo would be sweet! I second that idea.

Great ideas popping up here

Silver got to it quick :D Most strops are already made from an edible animal product, just make it tastier ;)

I have no serious expectation of food-products from S!K. But the hats and handkerchiefs are excellent ideas  I'm waiting to see if any patches show up with my pre-ordered knives, if so then I'll be sewing them onto the hats I already have (boonie & baseball, winter cap as well).

I also second the availability of the UKE direct from S!K ;)

Firesteel holders would be nice too.
Regarding lighters, I have a Zippo as well as an IMCO 6700 and, nice as they are, neither holds its fuel as reliably as a Bic. Even better would be a refillable butane lighter...

Ha! Yeah, pretty much the same profile if the lighter is closed. You got one of those lights?

I came REALLY close to ordering one about a month ago, but talked myself out of it at the last second in order to keep saving for quality sharpening supplies. Someday :)

Anyone ever used a Douglass Field Lighter?

Carries spare fuel, spare parts, and can last far longer than a Zippo before drying out...

Firesteel.com fire steels are fantastic too. If you guys have no plans for an axe, maybe carrying hatchets from Gransfors bruks or Wetterlings. Silky folding saws too.

Yes, I have one, and its hands down the best lighter fluid primed lighter that I own. Somewhat expensive compared to others but far superior. I also own two Gransfor Bruks and two Silky saws. Nice to see someone else appreciates quality products!

I'd definitely buy a hat (preferably USA made), I need a med kit, and I do like handkerchiefs.

I would like to see a survive belt buckle made out of 3v with the flame logo cut out maybe a multi purpose design two false edges on the left and right side lashing point threw the logo repel with it ? Break glass ? Crack nuts open ? Scrap animal hides with it and preserve your main blade one buckle to rule them All sense most of us where our blades on a belt ..just thinking .... and I only want one free one ..Guy..hehe

Firesteels, zippos would be cool, a Guy endorsed sharpening system, hats would be sweet (baseball, beanie, and boonie), backpack?, nalgenes (in the style of the old guyot bottles), folding saws, insulated blankets, carabiners!! (that just popped into my head), cook kit, anything that guy carries in the field.

Definitely some awesome suggestions! Silky Saws are on the menu, they are Guy's favorite. He was particularly impressed with them when his grandmother asked if she could have one for doing her yard work, she liked using his so much. There is also a small stove on the list, though not a hobo style one like the Emberlit. I have to find my notebook that has our full list of items. I can think of at least one that we have written down, that hasn't been mentioned yet.

With some of the items mentioned the brands we would prefer are associated with other knives or knife companies. Especially the ferro rods and strop/sharpening systems. So that has been a bit harder to button down. We are going to have to take some time to do research and see what else is out there.

Sounds good Ellie! I didn't see hats and zippos listed, must have been an oversight ;)
