Survive! knives

Was there any delay with the coated 3.5s? I ordered 1 with FDE...just curious. I know you've all been working to get the 3.5s out.

Thanks!

Nope, we have all the coated GSO-3.5s here. The only thing we are waiting for is still premium handles. But Guy has been sharpening those blades along with the others so as soon as the premium handles arrive those orders will be ready to be built and shipped.

Ellie, there was a recall on the 440c fasteners sometime ago. Is it still be going to be produced soon?

There is nothing in the works at this time because we are just so swamped with everything else. Once we move and get settled in Guy will have more time to look into the 440c fasteners. But that may take a while in and of itself. We have rushed too many things in the past, in the future we will be taking more time to make sure things are actually ready for full scale production.

8am east time

Woah, you settle down. There hasn't been enough coffee consumed around here to be ready to launch this sale that early. :)

I am aiming for 10am est. The pages should be prepped today, inventory done this evening, then tomorrow morning I will just have to input numbers and double check pages. Please let me know if any of you have figured out cloning, haha!

I know this was meant as a joke and so a response is off topic, but we've been there and done that. It turns out that the best way (most efficient & effective) to generate such help is the same as it has been for millenia: grow up, marry well, raise children together as a family :)

Good luck and keep up the good work!

This is strange... My GSO 3.5 should travel from Pettysburg to The Netherlands. In stead of this it traveled:

Is this normal??

The three times I've ordered something from out of country they've gone through different customs facilities, one was Chicago and the other New York. And two of the orders came from the same vendor. I will say that it only spent a day or two with the Chicago one but a week and a half in New York. F NY.

Yes. The "ISC" part stands for "International Service Center". The package has to go to one before it leaves the country. Sometimes they're slow in moving on from there. USPS doesn't ship anything directly from post offices. It all travels through sort facilities. Even shipping something domestically will have it stop at other states (sometimes in the opposite direction) before heading to it's destination. Jut how our mail works.

I hope Ellie won't take this the wrong way but I'm curious if Ellie be a Mrs. Survive! (Seiferd) one day. Lol I just thought if there's any woman that can put up with Guys dedication, working long hours without rest it would be you.

My 3.5 arrived today, I love it. There are some fine details that when I compare it to my 5.1 from the preorder, show the quality is improving.

One very interesting thing I noted, the PVD black coating is much more glossy than the same coating on my 5.1. I suspect it is something to do with heat applied locally, as the coating on my 5.1 is glossy right up behind the edge grind like the coating got glossy from the heat generated during the grind, the rest is all matte. The 3.5 is uniformly glossy.

Also, the 3.5 which I ordered with a black micarta handle and it is actually black, like really black. I'm impressed! it makes my 5.1 handle look green and in need of replacement!

Pics could be added if people are interested.
