Survive! Sheaths and standard attachments that fit them

Chiral,.

And thanks especially Hale, Chiral and Kiah for the input. My mind starts spinning with ways to do this stuff, and then one of you posts and I think, why didn't I think of that, ha :D

Usually when I have an idea I have two hands full and need to be concentrating. By the time I get to a pen I've forgotten what I was supposed to be drawing. :o

On an unrelated note, I'm pretty sure the 4.7 was designed using magic.

No forming right now, just fondling. Guy and Ellie were kind enough to send me a template blade for custom work and I've just been admiring the ergos.

how would you say it compares to the gso 5? as the kids say these days 'I'm mad jelly bro!"

Bit narrower from spine to edge and a hair shorter. Functionally in that same range. Can't compare cutting as I'm edgeless on template blades. The scale design on it (and the new 5.1) is fantastic IMO. Hard to explain, it just fits if that makes sense. Fit and finish is immaculate and the new fasteners are just cool.

awesome to hear, thanks for the update! can't wait to start seeing these beasts from every conceivable angle!

Oh man! I had long ago decided to get a 5. Then when they came available the redesign to the 4.7 came up and I decided to hold out for it. That seems forever ago. I can't wait to get ahold of one now that they are getting close!!!

I'm working on it, lol.

I'm slowly filling this beast up. I prioritized repair/light/fire as I wouldnt expect to use this kit for long term survival:

There is a fair amount of left over space.

We may have to update the "About Us" to incorporate something about sorcery, haha.

In all seriousness, that is a tall compliment, especially coming from a quality craftsman. Guy said he is glad you like it and to be sure to thank you. :)

Thanks guys, I gotta decide what else to add, probably a firestarter of some sort. I tried to keep everything waterproof. I will say that the countycomm match case has a compass in the bottom but i would not reply on that...doesn't always point the same way... the case itself is great though. Any suggestions on what else to add? I have a spool of kevlar cord i want to throw in, gotta find it...

I don't know if I'm familiar with all those items. Could you list what you have there?

I always like the idea of having some kind of sharpener in a kit.

You won't be disappointed IMO.

I've mentioned it before, but a pair of 125mm Knipex Cobras are worth their tiny weight in gold if you're prioritizing repair. CountyComm also has a tiny bit driver I've been meaning to get. Coupled with a set of LM 2D bits, could be pretty handy.

Thanks right back to the both of you.

Sure:
1. Sams Natural Lip Balm "hot chili" (could be used to start fires as well)
2. Small roll of green duck tape
3. County Comm match case with matches
4. County Comm Delrin CR123 Battery Case
5. Eiger AAA flashlight
6. County Comm Delrin AAA Battery Case
7. Light my fire fire steel
The cord up top is off of a spool of generic army surplus store stuff, I'd like to replace it with something more robust, but haven't decided on that yet.

Kiah, that plier is crazy cool, I was thinking some sort of small back-up multi tool would be a good addition, I am not sure i will put that plier in the kit, but i am gonna buy one now...i love the mechanism. I just got some stuff in from county comm face palm for not looking into the bits sooner, good idea!

Wow, a lot of stuff I didn't even know was out there. Thanks for taking the time to educate me!

I really love seeing what other people pic for their various kits, and a lot of what i have now stems from stalking other people's kits. the Pouch is literally only half full, which leads to a lot of options. I think a sharpening option would be a great addition, just gotta figure out what. Maybe one of those altoid strops + some sorta dmt plate?? unsure...

I like your outlook on life :)

Someday I want a dmt card sharpener like Standard has. Dmt keychain sharpeners look good too.
