Yes that is the Colorado rockies episode I just watched it tonight. I could swear that is one of the cheapies from smkw. Looks to have close to a seven inch blade.

I think he just likes switching it up and carrying whatever he can find.

Les has a tendency to go to the local outfitter and pick out things on the shelf - for instance the axe in the Labrador episode. It would not surprise me in the least if this is a cheapo from a local store.

I think that knives are just tools in a toolbox to Les. Except his LM Wave. He had a Buck 119 in the Alaska shows. And early in the series he carried a SAK. Not sure what he carried in these two shows.

I completely agree with you guys.
I have used and beaten a CTD rough use knife for 3 years, long before the knife test.
Do I prefer one of my Busse's, yes I do but the CTD knife will get the job done.

I've never seen him complain about not having a good enough knife for whatever he's doing. Having a Busse, I don't think, would help him whatsoever overall.

He has a band. He is actually pretty good at both guitar and at harmonica, he records all of the music for the show.
