A2 is my second favorite carbon alloy tool steel. Its tough, sharpens easily and takes a nice patina without being super rust prone.

Fiddleback Forge customs are undoubtedly one of the best aesthetically presented fixed blades I have come across, yet totally functional and not looking like a movie prop type of blade. Their top notch handle scales in various materials make them that much more dreamy to own. I have ZERO discipline when it comes to acquiring more than I would ever use and for that reason of having ZERO self-restraint, I have been trying very hard to keep my interest in FF just limited to piquing at the awesome photos which some of you fellas post of your FF

I love the SnG for it's solid build and being a great ambidextrous knife. The company's history is a completely different story.

They have some lovely knives, I'm glad I'm a cheap ass about folders. The Striders look awesome, no way I could ever give them a dollar though. I've bought a handful of Kizers lately and feel that's US dollars better spent than supporting Mick Strider. I'd rather support an overt overseas company than.. whatever Strider is.

I still have a hard time buying these second or third hand because of Striders past.
Kizer is on my radar for sure.
Are they fairly ambidextrous?
I'm predominantly left handed but I can't stand lefty folders.

No, they're pretty lefty unfriendly. I bought 4 just to see what they're about, the Sovereign is the only lefty friendly version. I'd be happy to let you check them out.

I think Mick Strider's past has been brought up well enough it's not beneficial to hash it out again. He seems to be lying through his teeth, so even if he came out with the 'ultimate best number one champion of the world tacticllol operator tool' I think I'd rather trust a piece of rusty stone than anything with his name on it. I got by for 6 years just fine with a multi-tool, they got stolen enough times they just work. That being said, people don't like S!K, that's ok too.

Awesome man I appreciate that!
Maybe once I get settled in the new place we can do a knife swap and I'll send the SnG out to you to try out.
I ended up trading a 5.11 pack and a PM2 for this one because the kid that had it broke the screw holding the clip on. I only have about $220 invested in it.

No doubt at all, Strider has some aweome fans, that's the metric I hold most companies by.

I really want to try out a Grayman Dua one of these days.
They look like they're built like a tank.

I don't follow folders much but Grayman knives definitely seem to be on the rise right now.

Had a dua, it was super smooth. The blade was a bit thick to be what I'd consider an adept slicer, but it was a really well put together piece.

Just FYI, Strider's "World HQ" (:p) is about 10 minutes or so away from my House
