Swamp Rat Crash Axe For BLADE Show 2006

Just took a second to notice the rifle underneath the Hawk.

You can do better than that! I know the safe has some sweeter boomsticks than that one to introduce a new model! Come on now, bring out the big guns...

SNAFU,

I think you need to go check the O.I.N.K. roster.

Well aware of the O.I.N.K. roster, just wanted to note that people were only saying they wanted only ONE. Which is not typical HOG fashion, but hey were in the RAT forum.

WOW! Thats sweet! 'Ay waitaminit! That handle looks mighty familiar! The rats have been chewing into Jerrys store room again havent they! ;)

I just corrected one of the specs. in my original post. The steel will be SR77 (modified S7) and not SR-101.

SR77 is much tougher than SR-101 and is ideally suited for this type of application.

:D :D

seriously, will there be any other way to get ahold of one of these guys outside of attending blade?!?!?! Thanks, this is exactly the kind of hawk i have been waiting for.

Any idea how much? Will it available at the Rat Store? Thanks

I have reason to believe that it might be a ScrapYardKnives offering... But what does anyone know, anyway?!...

Oops... Wrong name posted...

But why would you need to blur out the logo if it was a Swamp Rat? New logo perhaps? Nah, I doubt it.... :D

Sweet!! Great choice of materials for the function! Nice touch adding the finger grooves at the top of the haft for using the edge like an ulu knife. I also like the prybar butt on the handle and the fact that the spike isn't super pointy (delicate point prone to bend/breakage) but rather built for durability.

However, the swell in the haft should be at the BOTTOM (not the top as shown) and made more pronounced to back your hand up against and help keep the hatchet from taking a flyer when you swing it.

Nonetheless, the overall design looks top-notch, the cutting edge is decently long (often a failing point on mini-hatchets), and I will of course have to buy one when they are available for general consumption.

Pre-order info will be posted later today or tomorrow on how to get in on this one. We will be accepting pre-orders on this one for several days but watch this forum for info.

:D:D
