For those of you who've seen some of my threads you know i talked seriously about stone washing my Lg Reg Sebenza scales. Although, i'm still not against that idea, my love for the bead blasted look has been reborn with these new bead blasted pins and screws from direct from CRK.
I actually lightly polished my sebenza with 0000 steel wool, but aside from some color lightening and smoother feel it totally maintained the blasted look. I love the way these new pins and screws match.
Not only do they give the knife a uniform, super clean, super simple look... they also somehow manage to add a tactical hint while still keeping it classy. Also, these pins feature an Allen hole, where they use to be filled and pretty much flat. I was a skeptical about the hole when i first heard about it, but absolutely loved the look the second i saw them on the knife. This mod is strictly cosmetic but super cool!
Also added an anodized lanyard pin which is just a sweet invention IMO. Not only is it pretty cool looking, it erases everything that sucks about using lanyards. Because of this pin, your grip on the knife, whether it be standard, fine work or reversed is never disrupted by the bulk of paracord or other material.
Enjoy the pics... the first is a before.
