Yes, thats true and arent we all a little axist, but we dont have to be. Every axe is an individual. Every axe is beautiful!

Well, it was meant as a joke but I dont think the comment was very nice in that it chalenges the mans choice to buy swedish tools (as opposed to US made, I guess). Or thats the way I read it at least, but that may just be me being touchy, idk. But that discussion is a realy interesting one, I think.
Im into Swedes. Just the blonde ones though.
I just got mine from Sportsman's Guide after they were on backorder for six months. They sent two - one an unissued HB and one well-used one marked "KB44." I have heard this is either Kimo Bruks issued in 1944 or Konigliche Bruks. Anyone know for sure? I have used the HB and it punches way above its weight class. It seemed easier and faster to use than a 3.5 lb. Council for felling.
A quick search did not give me anything substantial on either of those names. I will continue looking around.
Ok, after some more research I can say, with some certainity, that the KB axe is not made in sweden and I would guess that Kimo Bruk is right and that would make it made in Finland, which is pretty cool. They cant be too common, I have never seen one.
Thank you for the info, I was wondering on that.
