That's the issue. People who are against the idea(deniers) ONLY speak in general terms or they take a single week long cold snap in one specific area and say that global warming doesn't exist because... you see...it's cold in Michigan right now. Contrast that with scientists all over the world who study the thing and can give actual verifiable data.

400,000 years is not a single week long. It's 400,000 years. Hot, then cold, then hot, then cold. Also, the Scientists are not unified as you would think. What world do YOU live in? The Antarctic ice mass is at all time highs for the last couple of years. It's set a record right now, and it's still only autumn down there. The famous "hockey stick" has been proven to be false. There has been no warming in North America for 10 or 15 years, according to the scientists.

This AGW nonsense has been completely debunked already.

So we shouldn't do the right thing because there's always someone or ourselves doing bad things?

It's the right thing to do.

There is a considerable debate as to what the "right thing" is. That's the whole point.
