Leonardo63 Leonardo63 are those GLASS cutting boards?! 😲😲
Not mine I assure you ;) that's why all the sht is dull af. And I'm not allowed to sharpen them.
the handle is very ergo`and I had that thumb overhauled almost a year ago now. Very nice. I got some really cool vibes how the weight is placed around. Most are sheet steel. Feels way different, but, it's bed time and I can not say I haven't been drinking or have. night

Relieved to hear that! Just consider leaving those glass cutting boards out of your photos next time. I almost had a heart attack! 🤣🤣🤣

Not allowed to sharpen them? That's a disaster waiting to happen. Dull knife in a kitchen...bad idea

Nope, not allowed to sharpen anything that is not mine alone. Why you ask? Well, I did a bunch of knives in the kitchen on my super duper stone unit. I get bitched out because she's cut all kind of things up because the knives are now too sharp :) She thinks, bumping your hand is fine if it doesn't cut. Needing a saw tooth to slice a tomato fine with her~ not me.
She would say I went overboard and she used tongs to get a knife out for a while till they dulled up again (dramatics I think).....We've been polar opposites since day 1, the secret to 37 yrs maybe? aint said sht about the Busse stash in 7+ years, I aint stirring it up, not stupid. :) Slowly building my own section of the knife drawer.

Well crap... I'm pretty sure you need to just buy new kitchen knives when old ones dull. Don't see any others solution. Purely out of safety concern obviously.

SYKCo Alpha Chef 8 fresh off the UPS BTOJ (Brown Truck Of Joy). "Thank You!!!!" to the Wauseon crew for this one! I did a bit of flimsy newsprint testing and this is a *VERY* slicey boi.

The offset blade gives plenty of knuckle clearance. The relatively long belly curve offers very smooth transition for rock-chopping from a max height of about 3" at the heel, which is actually much more clearance than is typically used when chopping garlic or other ingredients on a cutting board. The handle is taller at the rear half than the the War Dog type by a fair bit. So if you've got bigger mitts, this handle could well be your huckleberry. 👍

ETA: Special note of an *extraordinary* packing job on the box-up of this knife. Exemplary!!

David, giving this some thought. What would be great, is an "edge" sheath that snaps on without creating excessive bulk, length, height for the knife drawer. Drawing inspiration from some of your past cutaway styles on big blades. With that massive heel drop there's a lot of blade area to work with :D ~ Whatcha think? Not sure I've got a kitchen knife block with a tall enough slot. - like ice skate edge guards! that's how to explain what my brain is thinking :)
Until Señor Brown offers us a whizzy camo edge guard 🤞🙏, these type folded-over plastic guards do a decent job of protecting edges, even rattling around in a drawer, and can be gotten cheaply.

As an extremely low cost DIY project, I make this kind of slip/cover from lightweight cardboard & tape to protect knives in drawers, both at home and at friends' & relatives' houses.

Mine came today. Great knife. Hopefully they release a slightly smaller kitchen knife to go with this big boy. I would buy it in a heartbeat.

They released one just last weekend, in tigerhide!

Caught the wifey making some coleslaw with the Alph! And when she was almost done I hear a "Shit!" followed by "Go get me a bandaid" 😂 Got a little soo speedy, she outran her skills and got bit by the point - you can't get away with a little bump with this one.
Really though, 2 thumbs up from the boss! She's used it a few times already and I didn't even know. That's a big step let me tell ya.

How about a pair of cut-proof gloves?
Wear it under thin disposable rubber gloves, so it won’t get wet.
Everytime the rubber glove gets cut, she’ll learn a lesson without bleeding.

Got mine today. First Busse (Kin)!
Satin, feels amazing! Have not used yet, but will soon. Feels amazing in hand, and will be a great addition to the kitchen. Will echo what others have said: amazing, secure packaging! Fantastic knife!
