Sylvrfalcn OOO Sylvrfalcn

Andy, if I had a coin to flip I could tell you who deserves that knife;) I've read both posts several times, but I'll be damned if I can figure out who deserves it.

How about this? Let's not pick. Send one the original prize and the other guy gets the one that you were going to send my way. As much as I respect Sarge and gleaned knowledge like the rest of us, it is quite obvious that these two have REALLY taken to heart the spirit and embodiment of what Sarge is all about. To me, they BOTH deserve to win:thumbup:

It is settled then. I will send a knife to both RWS and Tom Fetter.

Gentlemen, please PM me with your addresses.

Dunno what to say - except thanks.

The unique quality of the HI products and business approach has attracted people to the HI forums with the same unique quality. Sarge among them ...

... also including the people in present company. As a quick read through this thread will just underline.

Thanks so much for the gift, gents; I've always wanted a Laguiole, but have never ponied up for one. Now, in addition to a traditionally styled knife I've long admired, I'll have yet another group of stories attached to it. Makes me rich indeed.

Aw heck...that's way freakin' cool!! I didn't wanna say nuthin' before, but two days before Andy had started this thread, I'd had my laguiole stolen from my truck at work, so you can imagine how happy I am.

Thanks! Y'all are some mighty fine folks! (And I'd have said that before anyone decided to send me a knife too!):D

Congrats Tom and RWS:)

Looks like Karma did its job again, and two great guys ended up with a little something special:)

Also, a huge "thank you" to Andy is in order. This is the spirit of the Cantina, guys and dolls. We talk, we laugh, we share our sorrows and our joys...and from time to time we give for giving's sake. It honors our friends and strengthens the mortar of this house that Uncle Bill built.

Great times, y'all:D

... and the Laguiole showed up in the mail on Friday last. Garn, it's a pretty thing - only trouble is, my son now wants one too.

Many thanks, one and all; it's a truly lovely gift. Its simplicity, sturdiness, and frankly great design reminds me a lot of the traits Sarge put into the various knives he made himself, to our typical jaw-dropping response. I'll be happy to think of him, and you guys, when I carry it.

As to Sarge? Here's hoping he shows up again soon. He's missed.

GREAT news!! I was wondering how long it would take to get through the border there. I can't be held responsible for you son having such good taste in knives. That was your doing, I am sure. ;)

Enjoy it and think of Sarge!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You'd have enjoyed posting with him. I sure did. I hope he returns, there are a zillion questions I have for him!
