Here's #1081. I picked it up off of the exchange and I'm either the 3rd or 4th to own it but it's still in perfect condition. Not sure if it was shown previously but I don't have time to scroll all of the pages again.

The mammoth ivory is very smooth and buttery feeling. It doesn't have all of the coloration and embellishment that some mammoth has but to me, it works on this knife. It gives it a simple, classy look with a wicked blade.

I also must say that I love bolsters but I'm becoming an equally big fan of the shadow look. It gives some knives its own flair in ways.

Knife photo looks great, glad you're liking it.

Here are a few more......

Nice pick up on the ivory shadow Jsega. Its a cool knife. Hey Todd, I love that orange knife too. really like the blade on it.

Jake, Jack, Brett, Tom, thanks for the replies, I do appreciate it.

I've still got a lot to learn about knives, but I know what I like, and you, sir, make some of the most aesthetically-pleasing I've ever seen. Truly functional art! I can only imagine how nice they must be in-hand. Best wishes.

^^Just had to "say" this again!^^

I finally got myself a Davison knife after lusting over them for quite a while. Found this one second hand, it has definitely been carried and used a bit, but is still perfectly tight and has great action. I just cleaned it up, sharpened it, and it's amazing. The blade and handle shape are so sweet, and it has a really crisp little swedge. Is there anything you can tell me about it? I gather its ATS-34 or CPM-154, and looks like stabilized Buckeye burl, it's 4" closed. Any recollection when it was made? This is my new favorite knife, and I'm going to be saving up for a linerless swayback as well.

shipwright, I can't get the attachments to open to see the knife photos.
Do you know the knife number - should be stamped inside on the liner.

That's a great looking knife. I like the propeller shield on there. If you go to Todd's name in his posts, click view profile. Under that you can see his "latest started threads". I'd go in a few pages and start looking at the sales threads. You may find that knife in there and it will have all of the info that you need on it.

I've done that with the knives that I've bought second hand. I also take a screen shot of the info with my phone so that I'll always have it for each Davison I own.

I found it for you also.
