Jsega51, that your new TAD knife turned out to be # 1182 means it was meant to be your knife. Just took a little side trip on the way to it's true home. And, it is a fine looking knife too, but no need to say that because i don't think Todd can make an ugly knife.
Are the handles Snakewood ?
kj

They are Ironwood. I have another knife (fixed blade from LT Wright) in Ironwood as well and it's tough to capture all the wood's character in pictures...at least in my pictures it seems!

Thanks for the picture. The wood grain shows well, no problem with this picture. I bet you keep this forever. It's got your date on it which is pretty much like saying "It's got your name on it".

Yep, definitely a keeper and I'll be watching for #112,782....so that I can nail my birthday knife on the nose. Todd, you have a lot of work to do!!!

Might wanna get a cup of coffee...

A little praise for Todd's customer service here. My iron wood (forget number) developed a little tightness when closing when the weather warmed and humidity started to rise. Sent it back to him to check out. Well, he had it less than a week and it was back in my pocket and the walk and talk is back to Davison perfect. I don't think it was even 7 days turnaround time from the time I shipped it. Incredible. Thanks Todd.

Glad the knife is working smooth again.
Thanks everyone for the support.

I love how that swedge goes over the nail nick. Gives it a different look for sure.

Wow, Todd. I thought that, a while back, you couldn't get any better.

My socks are thoroughly blown off as you unveil each new piece.

To the stars!!!

Cheers,

Eric

I picked this one one up off the exchange this week and I am thrilled. It is my first hand made folder and everything about it is perfect. The half stop is probably my favorite feature. (Re-using photo, obviously)

Beautiful knife # 1124, and it is rather rare for Todd to make that blade type. Looks linerless ? and is it blue Carbon Fiber ? if such even exists.
Congratulations, it does look like a rather special knife. I'm a bit jealous.

It is linerless blue and silver twill carbon fiber (I believe, someone correct me if i'm wrong). It is virtually weightless for it's size. Thank you for your kind words. I am proud to own it.

^ I love that bead blasted finish.

I was fortunate to meet up with N.E. Tim this afternoon. We met at the Case/Zippo museum and he was able to show me a sample of his collection. It got better with each knife he pulled out. Between all of the knives I saw, I couldn't pick a favorite. Todd, your work is exemplary. I will say that I'll be ordering a sway back at some point...they were amazing in the hand.

Tim, thank you very much for meeting up today and thank you for the TA Davison belt buckle. It was a very nice gesture and its right at home with my small yet hopeful collection of knives.

I described earlier of getting #1182 and calling it my birthday knife. I was born on the 27th. Could someone post a picture of #1127? I assume Al has all of the pictures saved, correct? If so, I'd love to see it and I'd even love to have a shot at buying it when the current owner decides to let it go, if they ever do of course!

Again, thanks Todd, Tim and all of the Davison knife collectors, users and fanatics!

I was able to get a "birthday knife" as the number 1139 was in line to come up when I made an order. My birthday was November 1939, and, while I had to wait a couple of weeks longer for its turn, I was able to score that number.

Neat.

Thanks, Todd.

Congratulations TomTeriffic on getting the number you wanted, it gives the knife something a little extra special I feel.

Todd, thank you for the picture. That's a great looking knife, especially because it has a little of everything different. Bead blast finish, liner less, no bolsters and a scale material other than an exotic wood or bone. Very, very cool.

I need it!

Thanks Jake
