Love this man's work. One Day I might even own one.
Such awesome output from Mr. Davison. Curious what the average lead time is for custom orders?
apologize in advance if this should be asked elsewhere.
I was able to acquire this knife a little while ago through a trade. I collect traditional slipjoints, but I also collect Loveless style knives, mainly the Drop Point Hunter pattern. This one was made by Todd back in 2013 and is one of the last fixed blades made for sale. It's based on the Loveless Utility Hunter pattern.
The handle is made of different kinds of micarta with some stainless spacers and guard. Blade is bead blasted CPM-154. Sheath was made by the famous Al Dodge.

Generally 90-120 days for a custom order is what he says. Sometimes it takes less (I've had one show up 30 days after ordered) but usually it's within that window. Im in day 27 of waiting for for my current order and it's feeling like forever for some reason. Lol
I've tried for a fixed blade order in the past as well. I lucked into this one with help from a friend to make contact with the owner. I've been looking for a long time now and to get this one definitely made me sigh some relief!
I recently placed an order for a 3-7/8" Shadow Trapper style knife with a slim and aggressive looking clip blade that comes to a nice fine tip. Long, cut swedge, nail nick underneath it, federal badge shield and it will be scaled in some 3400 year old ancient Bog Oak that I sent down. I can't wait to see it!
The Bog Oak came from Ukraine and has a really cool metal flake look to it when tilted in the light. That's from the wood absorbing all of the minerals from being stuck in the ground for so long. Thanks goes to Burl Source for obtaining it!

^ ehhhh, that's ok Joey, I wanted everyone else to picture what it might look like when it's done. I have the picture in my head and Todd hasn't failed me yet!
