Thanks gentlemen! I like the jig bone as well and it has a nice mustard stain color to the edges. I'm also happy with the handle to blade ratio. Looking at the stock photo, you can see there's plenty of room for some more blade but I'm glad that there isn't. In hand, it feels right, hard to describe I guess. You can see that the shield is a little cockeyed, but that doesn't bother me at all. With this knife, it works! I actually like it! I love when a knife can look much older than it really is and this aids to achieve that look, along with the jigging, color and squared end.

Some may disagree but that's why this knife is in my pocket, not theirs, and I'm happy to carry, use it, and of course, show it off.

Next time you're up for a visit, I'll gladly show you my Davisons, Mike. Warning...you may not spend so much time looking next time, you'll be posting "I'll take it!".
 
I'm in line for one but the waiting makes me feel like Cookie Monster on the new iPhone commercial... The anticipation will only add to the satisfaction in the end I'm sure!

You won't regret it, jimmy. They are pretty darn nice. I'm also waiting on one. A bit special. It'll be #6.
