So the knives are in their boxes:

And its sheath time!

I divided the sheaths up into two groups. All the Slotted, Slot and Loop, and the Horizontal sheaths were in one group and done first. The pancake sheaths were all done the next day. All cutting and tooling were done the day before because the leather can't be damp when sewing.

The first group drying on the kitchen counter:

And after drying the edges are burnished and finish applied:

The pancakes all ready to be wet molded and fitted to their respective knife:

After all work is done they get oiled and they set overnight:

Then after edge rubbing and finishing all sheaths get matched up with their knife. Of 56 knives that eventually were in this group and done, these thirty will go on the website the others were orders and shipped already for Christmas:

A couple of finished ones piled on their sheaths:

Now only eight more sheaths, three rifle scabbards, four belts and three holsters to do over the next couple of days. Easy peasey!

Those plain dark sheaths turned out really attractive.
I also see a few head knives up in the corner.:thumbsup:

Lol... :D:thumbsup:

Yeah I've got three head knives I keep on the bench pretty much all the time. Made all three. When I'm cutting a lot of leather like here I'll buff up the edge on all three before I get started and then don't have to stop very often to hit the buffer again. Those darker sheaths are water buffalo. Two are water buffalo tanned as veg tan (the two on the right bottom row) The other three are water buffalo chrome tan done as an overlay over regular Herman Oak. Thanks.

Let me introduce you to the users club. These all sit in a box next to my keys and wallet for me to choice the daily user. I must say it’s one of the hardest decisions I make in a day.

Very nice user pile c-mac!
I can see why you are having difficulty selecting your carry for the day. You may think it's because you have so many wonderful knives to choose from but in actually, your trouble stems from the fact that you have one to many Case knives, so the pile is slightly out of harmony. Have you noticed an increase in anxiety levels recently? If not unfortunately you will, it's an inevitable result in these situations. I feel your pain and would like to help, things can only get worse, unless something is done and soon.
Here's what you must do; send the saw cut Case barlow to me and I assure you that the pile will gradually return to perfect harmony. Then you will never again have trouble making your selection and you will positively be on the correct path of becoming a much happier, even healthier knife owner. Some have found that by following these simple steps the air smells sweeter and they have actually become more attractive. Of course, the choice is yours but it is the only solution, let me know if you need my address. I'm rooting for ya,:thumbsup: -James

That is one of 2 saw cut Case Barlows I have as you can see below. Only issue with them is the scales on the other side do not match the front. Will parting with one still make me happier, healthier, and more attractive? Heaven knows I need all the help I can get right now.

I had heard Case even had the saw cuts running in opposite directions from one side to the other which kept me from getting one. I do like both of yours especially the lighter one.
BTW, it won't be necessary for you to part with either of them. I was under the impression that you had only the one saw-cut. Owning two Case saw-cut barlows will always bring a pile into perfect harmony.;) So your selection difficulty must stem entirely from the fact that they are all such desirable knives. Not a bad situation to be in and one that I'm sure won't hinder you in any way. :) Congrats on the wonderful Pile of users! Simply splendid!:thumbsup:

Thanks a lot buddy!!I have seen some Case saw cut that was not only running in opposite directions but also different colors on each side. I figured if I planned to use it, it didn't really matter if the two sides matched. I got one for myself and one as a gift for a friend but he ended up getting one of his on so I ended up just keeping both of them.
