Did you re-handle that Okapi? It doesn’t look like any of the ones I have, or have seen. I know there are a lot of knock-offs out there, which made me wonder.
Unless they’re making South African knockoffs, because I picked that one up in South Africa

It is possible, or it could just be a trick of the light in your photo which makes it look different. I once emailed someone at the company who said counterfeits were a problem even there. See this for how they are made - the handle shape and construction is very distinct:

The main thing is that the handle is 2 pieces of resin-impregnated wood pressed together, and the line between the 2 halves is very clear.

If it is a variant I have not seen, I would love to see some close-ups. Did it come on a card, or in a box? The rest of the hardware all looks the same, not sure about the blade.

Here is their current lineup, and the handles still look the same as the one I got in the Horn of Africa in 1990, and the ones I have purchased over the past 5 years or so.

I decided today to oil and clean my carry rotation. While doing so I decided to make a list of what I had.

I’ve always like stockmans but never really considered myself a stockman guy but now I’m thinking I might be.

Out of 26 knives 13 stockman, 7 mini trappers, 2 trappers, 2 sak, 1 Barlow, and 1 moose.

A couple of weeks ago I posted this photo showing a Stag from each of the Brands of stag that I have . The only GEC in the photo is on the upper right . All of the others are kept in a separate drawer from the GECs . As you can see in the second photo , that drawer gets jumbled up a little . Sort of like a Pile .
