Dude, did a Spyderco molest you or something?
Why the hate?

Just because Syderco is quality doesn't mean a number of their designs aren't lol-worthy. This is a subject that has come up repeatedly over the years regarding Spyderco knives.

I bought this a few years ago thinking.
.well I don't really know. But it literally has no edge to it. And I just realized it's not a bayonet, because it can't be attached a gun.
Looks like you should put it on an arrow and shoot it.

I'm not sure if these have been mentioned yet...

The best part is the EPIC description "When Jim Bowie first designed his famous Bowie knife, he probably never could have envisioned a knife as badass as this one." - lol

I'm not sure what to make of this...It's promoted as a skinning knife, yet it also looks too large and clumsy to be used as a skinning knife.
The curved blade in IMHO would make cooking tedious and hazardous, yet it's as large as a small meat cleaver. Hmm?

This isn't a knife lol! It's a shoddy hatchet up-sold to you as a uber tacti survival gizmo!

... Yeah, I think this thread has kinda run its course for now. We're starting to get fairly reasonable knives that are just outside of the general spectrum of interests of those who post here. Push daggers? Khukri / Xiphos? Seriously? We're reaching here. We should lock this down and wait for next year's run of Quartermaster, Strider, and Medford knives, and we can sprinkle some United Cutlery and Fury up in there as well.

How 'bout no...

Daggers with 1.2 inches of cutting edge are kind of tacticlol IMHO. YMMV. Useful for when you want to shank somebody; but only a little bit.

Point tacticlol missed:) I don't see these knives to be presented anywhere as "tactical"

A picture is worth a thousand words. Their whole product line is geared towards young boys and folks who don't know any better...and that is the essence of "tacticlol."

I mean, they market a knife called the Bush Dagger, for Scagel's sake. Roll that name around in your head for bit.

Im sure cold Steel will have some plastic knives, combs with embedded plastic knives, blow guns and mall ninja stars to add as well.

Now THIS is tacticlol:

Been in a bunch of movies, including the Fifth Element.
With the double point, it isn't even good for opening letters, which is something most daggers are good at.

Low-end steel, questionable construction, no practical use...yet I bought it recently, BECAUSE it sucked. :)
Oh yeah, it also isn't very sharp...but if you ding the tip against the desk, it makes a passable tuning fork. :D

I had one of those when I was 16. I knew nothing about knifes then LOL. I used to carry it under my black trench coat. I could never get it sharp. It was probably better as a blunt weapon. It was called a Double Shadow. It was a Gil Hibben knife, i bought it at a Hoffritz store in the mall.

Yes, the execution of this particular specimen isn't great, however so called benthic knife is known for a long time:

There is nothing tacticool in the two blades - they produce two cavities when stabbing and complicate the wound.
For someone that knows how to use it, this tool is far from tacticool... :D

By "know how to use it" you do mean STAB right :glee:? It's not rocket science here . Mine was made in Taiwan, NOT China (Vintage!) and it came with a nifty note inside explaining why it had effectively two blades, two wounds, one stab. Funny how different te non PC world was LOL. I was 16 when I purchased it at the mall. I had to be 18 to buy a paintball gun, but I could but this lethal stabbing machine, no problems LMAO.

Maybe it counts as two single edged blades and could be more legal than one double edged blade?
