Tacticlol Knives

I don't know how that knife is being marketed but to me that looks more like a rope-cutter rather than a guthook. I could easily see that design of knife being used as an emergency tool, perhaps something carried in the trunk of ones car or the cab of ones truck. Anyone who's ever had their tires stuck in mud and has had to collect brush to shove under the tire for traction knows how valuable a "trunk" knife can be.

I think one improvement to the overall package would be a cut-out in the scabbard that would allow a person to use the rope-cutter without having to un-sheath the knife. Such a feature might be especially beneficial if the rope-cutter was being used as an emergency seat-belt cutter.

Then the gut-hook really has no purpose whatsoever, which would make my point stand anyway.

TL;DR I hate the damn thing.

I just clicked through some of the pages of this thread. It made me laugh and cry at the same time. Does anyone really buy such things ... ?!

Thank you guys for this thread, it made me laugh at some pics and comments. Don´t let this thread die!

Kind regards

Thats how I feel any time I see fast food. Yet here we are in a society where low quality makes the most money.

...and to contribute...

(he makes real, awesome knives. this is obviously a collectors piece.. but man the child in me wants it for badass factor...)

Oh man I know. Im trying to justify not buying by saying that I dont really like carbon fiber handles, which I dont. And for the price I should "have exactly what I want"

That said, as soon as a different run comes out w/ diff handles, I'll be all over it.

thing is I like the CF scales, the liner lock and high price for a small knife is what's keeping me away

and neither of those is a really big problem but still I would rather just get the neck-knife version

but if i won 300 bucks today i would have bought the flipper in a heart beat, even if the flipper was 200 bucks i would buy it

if that flipper was 200 i would already have one CF or not!

The flipper? Its a small run of hand made knives, thats probably why if it was made by benchmade or kershaw or something im sure it'd be mid 100's

Check out the small picture at the lower right hand corner.

If I'm not mistaken, this remarkable blade also doubles as a pair of tactical opera glasses. Just slide your prescription lenses out of the pocket of your MOLLE compatible tuxedo, pop them in the handle and, not only are you set for all three acts of La traviata, but you'll also be ready to de-animate any unruly patron who refuses to stop whispering during Violetta's aria. Genius.
