Take a peek at Cold Steel's 2008 lineup

ooh, new toys, lots of them. That tri-ad lock is interesting, as is that ram lock whatever on the folding bushman. Also nice that they added pouches to the sheaths for the bushman and the machetes. I wonder why so much aus8 when they were using VG-1. While adding a throwing star was, welll... they also added in some really traditional patterns, albeit in 4116, instead of carbon steel.

Holy crap at the folding kukri with the 6" blade 5.5mm thick!

Do my eyes deceive me or is that a balisong hunting knife on p22?

That "battle ring" is like an uglified kunai from Naruto.

Good looking stuff. Just when I thought I was through buying knives.:grumpy:

Got to admit that there are some interesting designs there. The locking clasp knife, the Espada Series, and then the Rajah Series all look nice, but I can't read the small print to see what steel and what specs for the knives.
One thing I can tell though; Cold Steel puts the pocket clips too low on these folders. Those Rajah folders have the clips halfway down the handle. Other than that I really like the designs I mentioned

Gotta get a Pocket Bushman to check out. If it is made well, how can you go wrong with a locking Douk Douk with a pocket clip??

I have a feeling that the Battle Ring is going to end up in a Made-for-SciFiChannel Movie though. :D

The Pocket Bushman does look interesting as does the Kudu...

Cold steel's quility is deminishing.Last years was the best lineup this year not so good. But it's cold steel after all.:barf::D

I like the folding bushman, I just wish it'd been AUS8. And maybe I'm being stupid, but how do you unlock it? Do you pull on the lanyard?

I also like the look of the American Lawman folder. Any news on pricing?

what I like about the pocket bushman most is the full height hollow grind, not common with a lock, clip, & one hand opening.

AHH nice look at the fake sebenza.

You mean the Bradley Alias? Does CS own them now? :D
I realize that some companies copy others' designs, sometimes with permission, sometimes not, but to see one company being singled out for it far more than any other is silly. if the manufacturers/designers think it's a big enough problem, they'll do something about it. If you don't like it, that's fine too, make sure you let everyone know with your wallet how you feel. I very rarely, if ever, see people get on their high moral horse about any other knife manufacturer other than Cold Steel. I'm sure people have their reasons, and I'm sure we're about to hear a few.
I fully expect to be flamed for this, don't care. Sorry for semi-hijacking your thread, shecky.

I looked at the catalogue thanks to your provided link. Some interesting stuff there.

I think it's more just the fact that Sam loves the Sebenza. Word has it he sees them in his dreams.... *violins play*

:D
