Take a peek at Cold Steel's 2008 lineup

Yeah, shame really, Coldsteel of all companies acutally has the potential to come out with a decent quality balisong for a reasonable price. No idea why they don´t.

I completely agree. Cold Steel would have a great chance to make a follow up to the Arc Angel. I have 2 AA's and I would gladly pick up a couple more cold steel bali's. Here's the problem with the balisong market, Benchmade is in a total monopoly for production balisongs.

So I'm going to disagree to those who think theres no money in this market. Alot of us are screaming for another company to make a high quality flipper. I bet you bradley's kimura will sell very well, I know I'll be buying one. As far as we know, the kimura is the only new production bali out for 2009 right? I havent heard of any others.

As for the black rock, I understand why that is there. It is meant to be a tough folder with nno possibility for lock failure, after all, the two handled design of the balisong is the strongest and most fool-proof locking mechanism available to a folder. but the new fake bali still makes me cry

The BlackRock isn't a "fake bali", it is a newer version of a rather old design (I had one as a youth in the '70's).

EDIT: Missed about the "Paradox" - that knife looks like a bali and I don't see it selling too well.

I believe the AA was made by Camillus, so when they went so did CS's bali production. If CS could find another US maker to contract with then they would probably make it again, but they don't seem to have a big interest in that right now.
