Someone call Websters because this entire discussion is an exercise in futility. It is never going to happen, in fact I think Jerry likes letting ya'll go own about it kinda like a cat plays with a mouse after it catches it. Hell this has been going on for years and he never steps in to settle it one way or the other, so instead of doing the right thing and either producing the mythical folder for his flock, or telling them he ain't ever gonna do one. He lets it go, so either he likes it or he doesn't give a flying rats a**.
Kinda jacked up from somebody that has the loyal following that he does and what gets me more is that the followers have never pieced this together for themselves. Either way jacked up don't you think?
"He lets it go, so either he likes it or he doesn't give a flying rats a**."
simplifying a production schedule, the very limited marketing busse does, and jerry's opinions about user, buyers and forum member responses down to pure black and white makes it nearly impossible to get a realistic answer.
Jerry doesn't release
any information about
anything he's going to produce beyond the next run. So while you seem unhappy about him not releasing information about the folder it's the same pattern of release that's happened with every other blade busse combat's produced in the past 7 years. as far as I'm concerned anyone who gets angered by the lack of information on the folder doesn't "get it". It's not even a matter of whether jerry thinks it's "ready" for production from a design perspective - he won't say it's going to be released
until it's going to be released.
Back in the day busse combat offered about 6 models on the website and the wait times were between 3-
14 months. the models were static and didn't change, so the design's present were limited. then the new production schedule where something new was always coming, and most of the available pieces transitioned to the secondary market. ups and downs in prices, scarcity and rarity push the buyer to research the brand and the methods of getting ahold of a specific model deeper than ever before - because there are specific models to be had.
I'm perfectly happy with the way things are. It gets me new models every few months and an ever growing catalog of designs that I can get ahold of on the secondary market with a little effort and knowledge. There are
plenty of folders out there that will suit my needs (the benchmade ruckus being my favorite (if I edc'd carried folders)) - I have no
need for busse to release anything. Long live busse combat, jerry keep doing whatever you want to do as long as the blades keep being produced.
