OK I just opened mine up from the mail and I am extremely impressed. This thing is a beast! It locks up solid and I love the ergonomics on it despite being huge. The blade shape and grinds are great and the only flaw I can find is I have a microscopic chip in the blade steel close to the spyder bug logo. (You can only notice it in certain light)

Overall I'm very happy that I picked this up and it is a must have for any Spyderco collector. I'll post some pics this weekend. It dwarfs the paramilitary that I used to consider a large knife haha.

Despite being huge this is one of the few knives that I have purchased lately that I really can't wait to start using. It is actually refreshing to get something so different from all the other knives I have been buying.

I think I'll buy it tomorrow on Veterans Day. Since I've served in the military, I can use that as rationalization when my wife quizzes my purchase. Simple answer. Honorable discharge; honorable monster folder.:)
