Teaching traditional traditions.

are fieldbooks still available? I used mine more than my handbook. It has the missing covers to prove it.

If we went back to age 11, I would invite Jackknife to my troop. Weekend campout once a month rain or shine. Learned teamwork pushing cars up the rutted muddy road leading to or from campsite. Learned compassion helping the kid with no dad figure things out. Learned leadership by being assigned responsibility for group of tenderfeet to cut a tall flag pole from down by the river(marked with toilet paper) and bringing back to camp on our shoulders and erecting it for evening flag ceremony (1/2 mile uphill carry). Learned patriotism listening to the bugle call taps and folding said flag in the orange glow of sunset and in the thundering pouring rain.
No, I think we and Jackknifes troop would both be tying the blue ribbon on our flag staffs at the camporee. And shaking hands all around. You guys shoulda' been there...... 300$s

I'm in. I tried the scouts when I was little & got kicked out though. But this time I really promise not to bite anyone. (UNLESS THE DON'T GIVE ME THEIR COOKIES):foot:

I think I speak for everyone here, if you bite, we'll tie you to a tree for pogeybait. FOR BEARS!
