Got mine today!

I’ve never ordered 3 of anything right off the bat before, but I figured that I couldn’t really go wrong with a new Gemini model since they’re my fave... and it’s not like they should be difficult to move if I were to decide I only wanted to keep one.

I’m very happy I decided to go this route, since it gave me the chance to try a few different configurations. Normally I would’ve gone with my Gemini standby—comp and black canvas, but I love these other two! The black and green is going to a BOB for sure, as it’s probably right away my best fighting blade, due to the weight and color. The Comp and black is going into use as a camp/survival knife. That leaves the Maroon and DC, which is the most oddball choice for me because I NEVER get DC. Having said that, I think it’s the best looking of the lot! Might be the “display model” because I can’t see myself dinging that beautiful finish up!

Thanks fellas! They are all three just brilliant, and I don’t think there is a way to go wrong with any configuration. Possibly the best non-CS finishing I’ve seen on Busses. Heck, on any production model blades period! Perfectly done. Pure art and pure utility. I must admit that I wasn’t totally sold on the need for an even lighter TG, but these babies still seem like they will get the job done and be that much better to bring along on a hike.

I love how the black and green micartas are so distinguishable, whereas in the not-distant past, the black micarta could pass for black or green. The green is just classic military cool-looking. Oh, and I defy anyone who ever said that Busses don’t come sharp or with a great grind out of the box to get a load of these!

My TGULB is pretty much in line with the above at 14.7 ounces. Quite a difference vs. the TGSE at 21.1 oz.

got it damn quick to europe...customs increased it´s worth for 104$ (which im used to when importing knives from US)...and then it was wrong handle and wrong Color - mistakes happen, but it´s damn hard when you live on the other side of the Busse-planet...

Yep, both the same. Micarta tends to darken with age and use, (dirt, oil from hands, etc,) but you can speed up the the process by rubbing the scales down with a little mineral oil or Ballistol. I initially started keeping a peice of microfiber cloth impregnated with mineral oil in an Altoids tin to occasionally wipe down my bare carbon steels blades and prevent corrosion, but eventually started applying it to the handles as well when they start looking real dry.

for sure. wasnt meant in any shitstorm way - just bit disapointed when you want to unbox bronzen shine and get hammered silver...but great knife for the short time i handled it till boxing it again.
