Team GM SE A2 pics.

I have had some with black coating that was very thick and others that you could see some steel shining through. My Team GM has fairly thick coating.
 
No, you’re right. Not much different. I was just trying to find out what others were experiencing, and when it comes to blade thickness comparisons all I know to do is to measure accurately.
 
Ah—right between and possibly due to variations in instrument calibration or technique, as well as variation in coating application, as you suggested. :thumbsup:

Mine is an old dial analog caliper. It could very well be off a thousandth or two.
 
I've been on a hunt for my caliper for a couple days and just found it- had it in the safe -
So here's what I found- I have a TG A2 that's stripped - comes in a .250 on the nose- TGM coated, it's .258 on the nose so that's how thick the coating is :D I'd almost bet money they all came out of the same batch of A2 steel

M has the forest green - and I would compare it identical to the midnight blue- looks to be identical product just different color, it's nothing like the hammered silver which is unique unto itself, but I've stripped all my silver ones so nothing to check. I have another one that's black and it's real similar to the blue and green also but it's from the last OP2W.
 
Cool—sounds like I got a thicker coat of black. Busse markings are nice and crisp, tho. Should stand up to wear really well. :thumbsup::cool:

When we first started seeing the a2's there were some that had some seriously thick coatings. I remember some of the talon holes were so think you couldn't tell they had a radius and an obviously reduced inner diam, which is rather defined on mine. just a few Special, Special editions is all :D
 
I’ve almost got my TGM lol I signed for it on UPS My Choice, now they’re telling me someone has to be here when it gets delivered. They’re really starting to get on my nerves!
