Tear drop pattern - any love?

Hiroaki Ohta makes some of the nicest teardrops I've seen:

But this Kawamura takes the cake:

Yes!! nice long blades on those knives from Mr Ohta. And that Stag....well dayuummm!

Queen's #06L is one of my favorite patterns, the perfect size and a more useful blade than the bulbous type spear blades.

Will & Jeff - The Queen is a very nice pattern. Is it available without the liner lock feature? :)

OHMY justsomedude - Mr. OHTA does make a beautiful knife!

Here is a couple of my Case T. Bose Teardrops. Both gifts from my daughter.:D

I'm not Will or Jeff but can answer your question. No, it is only available as a linerlock. I have one and I'm on glennbad's "list" to have the lock removed. Love the pattern and Queen's choice of blade but don't care for the lock.

I'm one of those dissidents who like the liner-lock feature on many Trad knives, never find it gets in the way and it gives me extra safety in sticky situations.
The GEC 85 was issued with one too.

I liked the pattern so much I asked Kerry Hampton if he could fashion me one. The results speak for themselves..:thumbup:

Very cool lineup you have there. The Queen definitely looks more sleek than the chunkier GECs. I may have to put the #06 on my list for future acquisitions.

Here's a few from my collection. Mostly vintage stuff plus a recent custom from Esnyx. I prefer the beefier teardrop shape over the slimmer gent's style like the Case/Bose.

Same here. I like a beefier body in a teardrop, which has kept me from picking up one of the Case models. But, that Bose is a different animal altogether...just stunning!

(BTW, very nice collection)

That's an impressive array. Particularly like the 4th from left with the much sharpened master, fine shield and proportions, excellence:thumbup::thumbup:
