TechStudio K01 Profile Sharpening System

jll346 jll346 What other stones do you have other then the stones that came with your Tsprof,if you have not tried the Venev stones I would order them up to the 800 grit and wait for the new resin stones to come out in the 1200 and 2000 grit.

I also like the Sigma Power 10 and 13K stones for a polished edge and the Suehiro stones like the G8 8K and the 10 and 20K stones they make are great as well.

I bought a bunch of 1/2" and half rounds from Congress tools. Was going to get the edge pro diamond stones but bought the Shapton ones instead.

I like the Shapton Glass for some stuff but I find they don't cut very fast on steel's like M390 and above.

I'm hoping the diamond paste I ordered in 10 Carat concentration comes in soon, the guy I ordered it from sent me 2 40 gram containers that were fine and the other was like water and mud and very thinned out so he is sending me the 3 Micron I ordered as well,I'm really looking forward to trying it out and seeing how it performs against the 4 Carat standard concentration stuff.

What steels do you currently own now,I really Benchmades M390 it cuts everything really well.

Hardest I have is s30v and s35n. I mostly do 1095 fixed blades. Tons if kitchen knives. I have not really delt with nor do I own the newer high tech steels.

You may find the Shapton Glass maybe slow with the S30v steel depending on your patience,I have never found them fast cutting myself but I know others who think they are great.

I did my s30v Benchmade with the stock stones. Those worked flawless with it

I wonder if he is just reselling Poltava Diamond Tools paste (ukranian based)

No for sure the guy I purchased the 10 Carat concentration stuff from it not reselling the Poltava Diamond Tools stuff, the new stuff in 10 Carat and the Poltava stuff I have in 4 Carat are both oil based product's and the newer stuff has a different smell to it for sure.

TSPROF introduced a new small universal table (please see their description below)

"With it you can sharpen a variety of cutting tools, sharpening angles which are greater than 45 degrees, for example: scissors, hairdressing tools, carpentry tools. The small universal table is equipped with two types of clips: a shortened 16 mm sponge and a Y-shaped clamp. For fastening the climps to the base there are three fixing points, which allows sharpening the tool with the most complex geometry of the blade. Clamps are used both together and one by one. The base of the table is whole-milled and has no welds or fasteners. The base is attached to two frame holders with thumbscrews and clamping cylinder. Comfortable wide thumbscrews allow you to firmly fix the position of the table. The versatility of the table is complemented by the fact that the base can be turned in the holders, significantly expanding the range of application of this clamp."

We are getting few of those clamps here in US soon. If anyone already had an experience working with the attachment please share your thoughts.

The Shapton glass stones I have access to worked a lot better after dressing, night and day difference.

Will a Shapton Glass Stone, size 8.25 by 2.75, fit on the TS PROF KO2? What is the longest length that will fit the holder? I know that I can purchase the Edge Pro stones, but would rather purchase the larger set.
Thanks.

Sorry, I should have also asked, what is the smallest stone that it will hold? Also, is anyone using the full size Shapton Glass stones on their system? I’m concerned with breaking one of these stones.

Smallest stone which can be used on our regular abrasive holder is 155mm long (6.10 inches)
Our abrasive holder can also be without any additional blanks, Shapton Glass stones no exception
