I LIKE that! :D I believe I will be doing one very similar if I get my hands on those primo skins. :p Until then I may get a few off a US provider that has been good to me before.

Until then, here's some dye tests on that scarred up leather......

Black with claw marks, and NO its not a cat, allergic, I used my little BubbaSan tamahagne cutter. :D That thing sails through leather like its not there, even backwards. I dont touch the edge unless necessary. The plain black is done but not much to look at as its black with scars.

with my little cutter, I absolutly LOVE that little thing. Tamahagane is not cheap but its so nice.

Mottled, I am planning some red and brown mottling next, it ought to look a bit diseased. :)

and my favorite, the antique over tan, I wonder what antique over red would look like? Looks like I have at least two more to go!

Okee dokee then, I did hear back from the toad store, gotta buy 100.00 worth to get an order in.

is there enough interest in these sheaths to justify that cost? Think I could do a "zombie apocalypse" line to help offset the cost? I'd love to do something like that!

decisions, decisions, decisions......

Do you have any indication what that might translate to in terms of cost for a sheath? Either way I'd like to have one.

I would buy one but I'm still waiting for my order to come into production after waiting for 4+ months already!

I'd be curious to know a cost estimate on a toad sheath, or the cost difference on it vs cow would be a better gage?

Pricing will be set on my sub forum because of the rules of the discussion forums. :)

Watch for a thread there very soon. Its not going to be too bad as the skins are looking to be quite reasonable.

The one main issue is finding pieces that are big enough, most of these little critters are somewhat smaller in length than a TGLB.

I'll post in this thread when I get pricing for the toad sheaths set up and that depends on what the supplier tells us. But I'll go ahead and put up a pricing structure on the moo leather sheaths and pics of the fronts I have done already. Bloody mess coming soon. :)

This could be a good thing. You could stitch two or more skins together and make the stitching a feature. Stitch it up kinda like what you'd see on Frankenstein. If you do a Google Image search for "monster scars" you'll get my idea.

Chris.

What a neat idea! Thanks for the inspiration Chris! :)

Sorry folks, Busse is not OK with me showing my work here anymore so please check for updates on my sub forum here on BF.

Sorry for the inconvenience Jerry, I didn't know it was wrong for me to do this..... :(
