I believe I will be doing one very similar if I get my hands on those primo skins.
Until then I may get a few off a US provider that has been good to me before.
Until then, here's some dye tests on that scarred up leather......
Black with claw marks, and NO its not a cat, allergic, I used my little BubbaSan tamahagne cutter.
That thing sails through leather like its not there, even backwards. I dont touch the edge unless necessary. The plain black is done but not much to look at as its black with scars.
with my little cutter, I absolutly LOVE that little thing. Tamahagane is not cheap but its so nice.
Mottled, I am planning some red and brown mottling next, it ought to look a bit diseased.
and my favorite, the antique over tan, I wonder what antique over red would look like? Looks like I have at least two more to go!
