That Endura

Like i said its my first vg-10. I was a bit stunned never had an issue from my spydies. When sharpening I use a sharp maker. Should I use 30° or 40°? I typically use 40° on my para 2 and Manix 2.

Edit: ten minutes on the sharp maker and she's shaving sharp again.

The vg-10 was easy to sharpen. I'm impressed again and happy. :)

I noticed that when I got mine, but it ended up that I was hitting staples on the boxes I was opening.

Same here - if you look at the tip on my "Frank-Endura", you'll see that it's a little chewed up. Apparently hardened staples are like kryptonite to VG-10. I've beaten on mine for 5+ years, and only staples from an overseas shipping carton have ever damaged the blade or edge.

I have the G10, ZDP and Super Blue Endura and am looking forward to the HAP40. I carry the Stretch more than the Endura but it's still one of my favorites. It carries very small relative to the blade length and makes for an excellent field food prep knife.

Thanks!^
I have a Salt SE or I'd grab a Endura SE.
Speaking of Endura, I wanted to EDC my HD7 today and my Endura said, no.

I love the FFG Endura. Just give me that good ol VG10. Sharpens to hair poppin'-cut-the-devil-himself easily as AUS8, but holds it a long time. Longer than s30v in my experience.

I got a GEC STR-EK made of 1095. That's what I usually use on my big wire(thats not even that big, should see some 750 or 1,000) Or a Queen TL-29 in 1095.

I have a really old one with the molded frn clip (if it was even frn back then) that I use as a beater. Finally got this one how I like it and am carrying it more now. Mmans0311 with the great work on it.

The color is actually off in the picture. It's more burnt orange. I dyed a bright orange endura with tan RIT. The color is so hard to get to show in a picture. This is about a close as I've gotten
