Here is a “matching pair” I finished up last week.

So my wife & I were down visiting with REK Knives and family after Blade Show this year, having all sorts of fun. I got to spend some time teaching his kids how to work leather and they are quite efficient and good at it already!!

While I was down, Josh said to me “we gotta work on the leather overlay on kydex.” We unfortunately didn’t have as much time as we thought…or wished to have, but I shot him the basics.

Well, he beat me to it. Josh made a beautiful leather overlay kydex sheath for his newest custom Ember 2.5 (which is AWESOME!!! Check it out in his sub here on BF). I’m so stoked for him!!!

Here is my rendition of leather overlay kydex. It was an awesome project and am looking forward to doing many more.

I’ve got a few that are coming up. This weekend will be kydex for a big ol ZT and a Free Rein if all goes well.

It’s the Demko Free Rein. I won’t be working on it this weekend, but I will open a new thread if anyone wants to get in on a kydex run.
