Leather The “What’s going on in the S&F shop” thread!

These are not big beads. I like smaller beads that are lightweight.
These all measure 3/8” wide, 9/16” long with a 3/16” hole.
With a touch of variance being hand made. :)

I took an extra, extra long weekend to work on some orders I am excited to be working on.

This new Mazer has the chore of cutting my rough leather swatches. I like the leather cut test for edge retention and how sharp the knife is.

Does it cut cleanly, leaving no fray? Does it snag? Does it glide like going through butter?

Yes, yes it does. Well done, Josh. navman navman

Well, it’s raining today…so what better day to work on a few sheaths!

I’ve got some really exciting projects coming up for a few folks (you know who you are. Lol)
Really looking forward to them.

Have a great weekend to all.

Just a little heart warming story…
A while back I was asked to make sheaths with pocket clips for my nephews. So that they could carry their SAK’s safely and not loose them from their pockets. (Was happening frequently as little boys love to roam and roll and jump)

Well, this past weekend I was hanging out with my family and my nephew (6 years old), came up to me. “Uncle Sharp & Fiery, I just want you to know that I love this sheath! I haven’t carried any other sheath or knife since I got this for my birthday.”

Just warms an uncle’s heart.

As a sidenote: I won a GAW a number of years ago and that is how he aquired his Schrade Old Timer, so thank you to one of the John’s. :)

That's some honest to goodness professional small boy wear on that bad boy.

That’s great to hear, what a great uncle (and a fantastic sheath).

That’s pretty awesome and nice job!

Looks like his Old Timer has some nice “Patina” going on too.

It sure does!

He was so sad that his knife went through the washing machine. It has a little rust I need to clean off next time. He loves that little knife.

Funny story…he always wants to help, especially if he gets to use his knife. We needed a case of soda opened and he offered. Stuck his knife straight into the box and pulled. 😂🤣😂🤣
Pepsi everywhere. Lol.

He’s a great little helper though. They grow up way too fast.
