Unless it's already underway? A man can hope!GEC is busy making knives for a lot of dealers and clubs. Beginning to look like there's no room at the inn for us this year, at least not at GEC.
A man with as much history as you have should know there’s still plenty of time left in the year!GEC is busy making knives for a lot of dealers and clubs. Beginning to look like there's no room at the inn for us this year, at least not at GEC.
Kinda like what’s happening in this thread?I was thinking today (dangerous activity according to my wife) and I was thinking of all the smaller cutlery companies that might be able to do a run of knives. And I wondered if Grohmann knives would be able to do a run? That would be a nice addition.
Has the forum knife ever been a fixed blade before?I'm thinking I'd be happy with any forum knife as long as it's not an SAK, but I'd still prefer traditional over modern, and fixed over folding. Maybe some peeps like David Mary or Navman and REK, or a dozen others, could compete for making the 2024 forum fixie?
Don't think so.Has the forum knife ever been a fixed blade before?
It's fun to have a poll or have a little input on the knife. But the back and forth can be a bit daunting also. Those that are doing all the planning and work to make it happen probably have a membership with a hair club to replace what they pull out. I'm totally fine with a surprise, here it is guys, buy it, or don't. I'm good to sit back and wait to see.If I were Spark I wouldn’t tell us till a week before the knife actually drops, to discourage drama, post-padding, and the other usual antics. (Just saying)
Post padding! I have no idea of what you speak of!If I were Spark I wouldn’t tell us till a week before the knife actually drops, to discourage drama, post-padding, and the other usual antics. (Just saying)
Congratulations on only being a couple of posts away from the finish line! Good job.Kinda like what’s happening in this thread?
I’m only a couple of “cool knife bro”’ posts away from getting my post count over the line.
!
I hadn't thought about that, but it would definitely hamper the flood of random incoming strangers that crop up around the forum knife. If I were Spark I wouldn’t tell us till a week before the knife actually drops, to discourage drama, post-padding, and the other usual antics. (Just saying)
It never occurred to me before, but a fixed knife would be a great idea! And as you point out, there are more manufacturers available to make one than a traditional slipjoint.I'm thinking I'd be happy with any forum knife as long as it's not an SAK, but I'd still prefer traditional over modern, and fixed over folding. Maybe some peeps like David Mary or Navman and REK, or a dozen others, could compete for making the 2024 forum fixie?
