HA! Just scored a Chestnut Bone Case Hobo.A quality Hobo would be something completely different.
"Our Man Sandstone" ?...
ABORT ! ABORT ! the system has been compromised......yeajh yeah I know...we live in a world of non original remakes....no more scantily clad bimbos...no more hard drinking, chain smoking heroes who can outrun Eliobe Kipchoge and then flog a troup of armed martial arts experts....No those days are long gone I'm afraid.1966. James Coburn, Lee J. Cobb, and Bruno the Wonder Stoat?
Never heard of it...
I just love a good thread derailment as you know.
Lets try to get these wheels back on the rails.....meanwhile has anyone seen my latest epic
"Our Man Sandstone" ?
A riproaring ,not for the fainthearted, jet propelled thriller in which Sandstone( international knife collector) disguised as a Hobo infiltrates the GEC rendevous, is collared by security, escapes and using his Case Hobo knife is able to download the specs for the 2024 Forum knife and make his getaway only seconds before the goons break the door down...only to find the entire system corrupted by a bug that makes the mainframe honk like a sickly Narwhale....
Heres what one critic said:
"It's a flop. I give it a 4. The only redeeming feature is the superbly acted scene where that genius guy is doing the label...both incredibly emotional and tragic as well as uproariously ,sidesplittingly hilarious at the same time."
the voting really stuck in people's craw, but in my opinion it was super fun, and every time I carry that knife I think about all the laughs I had.
It really created quite a commotion, too, which is always fun. I like to see people engaged.
The voting gave me my all time favorite traditional Knife, the 2015 Serpentine Birds Eye. But it also got very toxic in later years. Too many folks got emotionally committed to their choices. When people don't consider other choices valid, they have a hard time dealing with unfavorable outcomes.the voting really stuck in people's craw, but in my opinion it was super fun, and every time I carry that knife I think about all the laughs I had.

I just looked it up, that 2015 knife is a beauty! The voting gave me my all time favorite traditional Knife, the 2015 Serpentine Birds Eye. But it also got very toxic in later years. Too many folks got emotionally committed to their choices. When people don't consider other choices valid, they have a hard time dealing with unfavorable outcomes.
After 9 pages of discussion, I'm glad we can all coalesce around one final contender: an #81 Abilene Stockman with square ends, and a serrated coping blade in lieu of a spey blade.
-OR-
Same as above, but with a punch instead of a spey blade.
I'm glad we could all come together for such a momentous decision.
I don’t think it’d work again. The amount of belly aching about the voting that I’ve read since 2021 leads me to conclude I was part of a minority that enjoyed playing a small part in the forum knife.I can't say that I share the same enjoyment. Having been the recipient of a few less than pleasant PMs during the last time we held votes and such, I don't care to go through it again. I offended a fair number of people apparently and without any ill intent on my part. I am not in a rush to risk a repeat performance.
It was destined to head there. Unless people rise above themselves, that’s where it’ll always end up. Voting is nothing compared to the angst that the forum knife itself can generate. The voting gave me my all time favorite traditional Knife, the 2015 Serpentine Birds Eye. But it also got very toxic in later years. Too many folks got emotionally committed to their choices. Insider trading with inside info: it is known in the circles in the know, that this year's F*K has already been made, is tubed and held under the strictest of security. What is it? I daren't say otherwise a bullet infested corpse will be found in the back of an old junked car in PAWill be Killa though....so put your patience shirt on

These 2 blade 39s would have been a great forum knife in my opinion.
