What a nice surprise. I opened my mailbox and there was Pearl! Thanks r redden r redden Randy. Pearl is now in Great Neck, NY a suburb that borders NYC. I live in an apartment while I'm here and there is a beautiful park right behind my building.

Before I meet up with Jack ( mrknife mrknife ) and show Pearl the sights I took her into the park where she paid her respects at a memorial honoring all those from my town who have given the ultimate sacrifice.

Sorry about the delay folks, have been sick lately, but rest assured, Pearl will be on the move soon!
 
After some misadventure because of the snow storm hitting nyc, Pearl is now riding priority out of the bitter nyc cold!!!!

Due to being sick for the early part of December, Pearl mostly stayed in and helped out with some carving on an upcoming ring project!

Here she is earning her room and board!

Finally after recovering and vacation starting, here is Pearl riding the subway to the city! She was quickly stored away safely in case any of the fellas in the blue uniforms came by :eek:

Pearl was taken to a viewing of The Last Jedi!!! and here we are in the train station,

Pearl stayed safely stowed away in the pocket, as a knife out in an NYC subway station would surely mean a lawyer and a very tight cage or bare minimum a hefty ticket. :rolleyes:

After the movies, Pearl enjoyed a drink at one of my favorite watering holes and got to say hello to my current favorite bartender ;)

Oh, it's great to see Pearl out and about in NYC! I'm glad you didn't try to show her Times Square on new year's eve. :D

it was so cold that day here :eek: and id probably be sitting in rikers at the moment if i took Pearl out in the middle of Time Square any day let alone NYE o_O:D:p NYPD plays things very close to the vest now especially after that incident in the bus station :(.

I’m not sure what to think of an iPad being your new favorite bartender, but Pearl doesn’t seem to care. ;)

Seriously though, thanks for sharing her visit with us and I hope you’re feeling better now.

haha Mary Joe is a little camera shy ;) thanks, cold season hit the clinic baddddd half the staff was sick :(!
 
Welp, Pearl is already adapting to life in Louisiana. Her 2-Day Priority trip from the hustle and bustle of the Big Apple turned into a meandering 7-day stroll to New Orleans.

We're in for a cold spell the next few days, so I don't know much of a stroll we'll be able to take, but I'll be out as soon as possible to take her from bayous to beignets!

I hope Pearl sees the sun while she's there, something sorely lacking up here lately.
