The Adventures of Pearl !!! Host list post's #22 and #23

Swung by my childhood home earlier this week to cut up a small tree that got knocked down in a storm, and I instantly started to think of places "on the bayou" in my little hometown to take Pearl exploring. I got so excited thinking about it! This is going to be a fantastic adventure!

The weather finally broke this afternoon so I took Pearl down on the French Broad River and then we went to West Asheville a section of Asheville that's like a little Bohemian Village. It was crowded and the parking was gone so we just took some pictures out the window, We will go back and to the downtown area early one day this week if the weather cooperates as well as to the Blue Ridge Parkway and out in the country.

Cool post, Randy, I enjoyed your drivethrough of Asheville and surrounds.

Looks like there's some good fishing to be had up on the French Broad river.

I thought I'd share this place near you that we've chatted about by PM.

I love that there's an actual place called Loafer's Glory.

Can't say for sure, but I daresay the fellow in the above photo is doing some serious whittlin'.;):D

Looking forward to seeing more of country NC, my friend.

Nice country! Pearl must enjoy living there, Randy!!
Now Pearl has a cousin out here in B.C. A person (or a knife) can see a rugged coastline and the Pacific ocean on a visit here. One can also eat barbecued Sockeye Salmon, and other west coast cuisine! It should be a nice visit sometime!!:)

My friend owns the store it has mostly pre-owned things for sale and consignment items. Only place I know of you can pick out a pre-owned slipjoint or sheath knife, a left handed recurve bow, fishing rod, camp stove or a 20 gauge shotgun.

Randy, I just found this thread this morning, thanks for gettin' it started. It looks like Pearl really enjoyed her visit to the scenic area in which you were so fortunate to grow up, as did I. Thank you R8shell for providing Pearl with her attractive traveling clothes. In that outfit she'll certainly be dress for any occasion. And a big thank you to all involved for the opportunity to follow along with Pearl on her world wide travels. She's off to a great start.

First I want to apologize for not taking Pearl out for more pictures I have been having trouble with my hip and have been unable to walk very far at a time. I have been hoping it would pass but no luck so I decided to send her on to the next person. I also placed some links to some places I wanted to take her fortunately she has ridden in my pocket to these places many times before her adventure began. I also gave her a nice warm pouch to travel in.

I'm enjoying all the photos so far. This is an entertaining thread to keep track of. Sorry Randy that you're not feeling 100%.
