Thanks to everyone who has posted more stag and ivory Buck knives.
I never tire of seeing all the one of a kind Buck knives!! They are all truly special Bucks!!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

I hope to have a few more to post here within the next month.

Here is a special one for my 317 collection. It is a Leroy custom. The special part is that it is a one blade 317 with sambar stag scales. According to Leroy when he worked in Buck's custom shop if they got a 317 in with a broken secondary blade they didn't have any more replacement blades so they removed it and made it a custom one blade. This is one he made in Buck's custom shop.

George…you're giving me some ideas!! I really like that single bladed 317!! I might even carry one of those more than a standard 317. Maybe a future project in the garage. :)
You have quite a collection going with that model.

STEELHEADBULLY…I think I like the "not so smooth" mammoth ivory the best. Thanks for posting those!!:thumbup::thumbup:

Stumps, They are sweet knives, Our buddy James was able to find them for me!! and the overall opinion has been the "not so smooth" is the Winner!!

Stumps, a light went off in my head the other day when I saw you talking about hiking long distances..and I realized your avatar is a shot from Katahdin. Never been there, but I hiked and worked out west in WY years ago and hiked most of the GA section of the trail one spring break in College, some great times and crazy memories!!

All though this is not the nicest Ivory Buck in my collection. It is the very first Ivory Buck Knife I ever owned, and in fact the first Buck Custom Knife I ever owned, and maybe the first 110 I ever owned. I took it out to polish it a few days ago and decided to snap a few pics. Really nice scales!!1984 limited edition Buck custom shop gold etched mastodon/mammoth blade and mastodon/mammoth ivory handles. #9/250:thumbup:

Mike, You have some wonderful Buck Knives and that 110 Mammoth has some very nice clear scales. Great knife.

Here is a 903 brass backed bowie with mammoth ivory scales. Not very nice ivory in my opinion. I may have Leroy put some nicer scales on it someday. I think this knife could be a 10 with nicer scales.

Been a while since I was able to add to this thread.
This Buck Kaala was shown here once before, but I ended up taking it apart and adding a lanyard hole and brass pins to it.

The beginning…fitting the Sambar stag.

Now with brass pins and a spent 38 shell casing. I wanted to put a Buck logo there, but even the small ones looked too big. Then I wanted to put a Winchester 32 Special shell casing, but that was too big.
I also matched it up with a brown leather belt sheath.

Will have a few more to post here soon. :)

Stumps, I really like that Stag Mayo necker...That amongst other knives you have re-handled have caught my Eye, Some nice clean knives!! I hope to do one or two myself sometime in the near future, start with something fixed blade and easy:D.....Until that time comes.:D Here are some Buck 500's from a run in the early 2000's??? Shades of Prehistoric Ivory:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: With nice mosaic pins, mirror blades...

Rather different that 3 have black spacers and one does not? And 3 have a Custom shop stamp and one with a Date code:confused:
