The All Stag and Ivory Buck Thread (Let's See Your Stag & Ivory Buck Knives)

Very cool SH,

Tell us about the one with no spacers!

JB, Not to sure why they did this one different, Came like all the rest with a COA, sheath and box, but I am guessing these scales were a little larger than most and instead of wasting any material, they just left the spacers out....or they realized the mistake after it was already assembeled and decided it looked too good to change, Hard to say?, As you can see in the picture it is wider than the rest!!!:thumbup:

Heath…very nice as always!! Thanks for posting those.:thumbup::thumbup:

STEELHEADBULLY….that is a beautiful set of Buck 500s!! :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Here is a Buck 319 Rancher I put Sambar stag covers and nickel silver pins on. Just something about the Sambar stag makes me want to use a knife more often. :)
I still have to clean up the blades a little and sharpen it before it's ready to ride along with me some days.

I still have a few stag and ivory Buck knives to post here. I get busy and forget.
Here is one that definitely belongs here.
It's a custom Custom Knife Shop Buck 110 finger groove, S30V, buffalo horn and nickel silver spacer, dressed up with mammoth ivory on what is now a barehead 110.

That last one is a real beauty Mark. I really like how you put the extra spacers next to the bolster. I too have been a bit lax in posting in this thread. Life just gets in the way. I'll have to get busy.

George…you have the nicest Buck Trailblazer collection I've seen.
These latest two really add to your collection!!
Thanks for posting those. :)

Here is an Alaskan Guide Buck 110 that I put mammoth ivory covers on last month.
I really like the contrast between the dark blade and the white mammoth ivory.

Mark love the black blade with the ivory I NEED one of those.
Her is a 317 stag with n/s pins. Started a thread about it because I have little info.

I know its been mentioned in the past but make sure with any production stag purchase you see both sides and are satisfied they match well enough. Stumps takes care to match his very well as do R/S and others. But, some production models from the past I was not satisfied with both sides being matched. I have a couple of early online purchases where I bought seeing only one side and was disappointed when they were in my hand.

This is one of my favorites in my collection. It is a Buck 925 Ivory Indian Chief Skinner. Made by Leroy Reimer. This is the largest version measuring 10-1/4" overall

I figured I would reply to this great Post done a while back. Thought it would be neat to see these pictures next to mine. The same Indian yet One looks a little tougher than the other. Both really great in their own way and also a favorite in my collection!

If I could get one of those Remer/Stone Custom 184's in Ivory:D:D Then I would have a new Favorite:thumbup::thumbup:

A lot of Great Stag and Ivory lately:thumbup::thumbup:

Stumps, Both your 50th Ivory 110's are Awesome:D:D Especially the bare head:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

For a first buck, especially coming out of the custom shop, I would strongly suggest going with the 112. The custom shop finger groove contours are very different from a regular production finger grooved 112 (same goes for the custom shop 110's). The custom shop finger grooves are a touch deeper and closer together, the fit and finish of the custom shop finger grooves have been in my experience perfect. Totally smooth and seamless. Go with the BOS Heat Treat S30V it is the best S30V I have ever used, satin finished of course. No serrations. Custom shop 110 and 112 serrations are meh at best, seem to be mostly for looks than function so a plain edge is best. With a custom shop 112 you are stuck with brass bolsters and handle scale choices from the custom shop wood scales only for some reason. So take your pick. Ive got 2 custom 112's and 5 custom 110's all within the last 2 years. Turn around time is one and a half to two months.

All came back razor sharp, perfect fit and finish, blade dead centered and the custom scales on all of them look drastically different in real life vs how they are presented online. Fortunately they showed up looking better than they do online. The wood scale choices all look far better and quite different in person. I love my oak handled 110 and 112.
