That's what I'm talk'n about!! Looks great John. That Zero Convex edge will be a workhorse and that 'coke bottle' contouring will feel great in the hand I'm sure.

Wow... now that is what I'm talking about right there............!

I don't even know what one I like most.

Very nice sir, Ski

Nexus with forged finish looks is a really outstanding piece of work. "haloblue" is on lucky camper.

Thanks!

It's a gift for a friend who damaged a Randall 14 hunting last season. I can't wait to see the look on his face.

HI haloblue -

I am sure he will be pleased! I had opportunity to check that knife out at Stomper's gathering, and wow, it is really a great knife!

I can't see this one ever being seriously damaged.

best regards -

That Lobo looks great..Looking forward to getting mine! Regarding the Lobo I was wondering what is the standard edge vs Zero Convex edge? Also wondering what is benefit of each?
Thanks in advance

Thanks and I really like this re-handled Lobo and the new edge.

To clarify about the differences ... The original edge had a standard V grind edge and although it's a nice edge I generally prefer the Zero Convex edge on my blades. I don't have a diagram to show, but if you search here there are many debates and posts showing the advantages or perceptions of each.

I prefer the Zero Convex for ease of sharpening, the beef behind the edge/edge retention and the way the edge tends to "glide" thru a cut and the blade doesn't "stick" ... if that makes any sense. Easiest example of that is cut a block of cheese w/both grinds and see what is easiest. :D

John,
Is it too late for me to request a zero convex edge on my upcoming Lobo?
thanks and prayers for the "boss"

John,
The little pack knife is looking great. Can't wait to get my hands on my first JK. I'm sure there will be more in the future. The Phoenix, Nexus, or Lobo in the forged finish is sure to be one of my next investments.
Regards,
Ron

Looking forward to this one! It will be my first JK with a full convex grind!
