The Apocalypse happens!!! What knife are you taking???

Becker 9 or a ml Hudson Bay knife with 8inch blade. Not much into zombie killing, just need something to provide the food and camp chores.....because we all know we would have to run to the hills or wilderness in case of civilization's down fall. :D
 
I'm currently using a SOG Pup Elite. I don't like their folders or sheaths but the Taiwan made fixed blades are a fair buy.
 
I would bring my Ganga Ram Special 18". I'm anti-violent, but when push comes to shove-well lets get it on.
 
Of what I own now, probably a BK9. Small enough to carry everywhere and do detail work, large enough for batoning, heavy enough for chopping, light enough for quick slashes. It needs a custom sheath, though.

As of late I've been thinking that a 5in blade can do almost everything a 10in blade could do

These type of threads are stupid. Really, if the apocalypse happens, your gonna be concerned about what knife you have on ya? Give me a break! If it happens, and it will eventually, whatever knife is in your pocket that day is it. Period.

Myself, when this event happens, I am not going to want to survive to deal with the consequences. Far easier to swallow a bullet than live and fight for every scrap of dirty food and every drop of tainted water you can get.

I concur. I'd rather put a bullet in my head than deal with the zombie apocalypse. Might be fun to blow a few zombie heads of with my 12ga using 3.5" nitro mag loads, but in the long run I'd rather be dead.

I highly doubt either of you would "eat a bullet" in any situation unless you were faced with a CERTAIN gruesome death, why? because many consider suicide a cowards way out including myself.
 
I don't suspect the apocalypse will happen anytime soon, but I disagree that this thread is stupid. We're online at a place to discuss knife stuff for fun. Well, we're having fun here! Regarding the "rather be dead" discussion, I'd have to think long and hard about that one. If I were suffering alone it would be an easy choice to make, but odds are I'd have friends and family with me, and thus something to live for.

Regarding the actual topic though, I'd want my Scrapyard Deregulator on my belt and my ZT0350 in my pocket. Those two should cover anything I would need.

I completely forgot about my 0350, great knife. Really a must have folder for the "almost upon us" apocalypse.
