The "Ask Nathan a Question" Thread

Holy shit. There's a thought. Delta 3V would actually make a pretty decent trowel. Hard, springy, abrasion resistant, strong and corrosion resistant and does well in thin sections. Who's up for a $300 tactical trowel?!

... I'm kidding...

... Or am I...
I have this tactical trowel from another of my favorite makers, no reason we can't get one in D3V.

GET OVER HERE.

Not a question but to express sincere thanks and gratitude after some brainfart comments:

At first, I was not on board with another sword project so soon after the K18s because it reminded me of the 1-2 years time period in the past when you went into making various Chopper patterns sequentially but then again reflecting back, that was quire a fun ride. So with that said, thank you for essentially offering us Keffeler swords which (a) most of would not be able to buy directly from Dan due to affordability issues and (b) Dan would likely not be enthusiastic about currently producing them. Additionally, your own input in the science of the finished product counted heavily in my own decision to get on the bandwagon. I hope that you'll be able to pilot and marshal this project so well ahead of time (in the 2 years time frame) that you will contemplate on ordering more material to accommodate those on the waiting list albeit potentially at a higher optional price due to the inflationary nature of the current markets and materials.

In closing, I really hope that you don't whiff on that CPK-Folder project. The darn thing seems to meandering up, sideways and down that whiteboard!

I would use that as intended. I laid brick full time through and after college. Still do on a rare occasion, and could definitely make that thing sling mud like a mofo. Now it would be great for rock work on some trail jobs.

If you really wanna start making some trail tools, a D3V Rogue Hoe or McLeod would be the bomb. There is nothing I could think of that would replace an $80 tool that leave nothing to wont better than a $500 CPK of the same ilk. Am I right Lorien Lorien or what?

Finally! Something I could live without and save my allowance for whatever you have next in line.

if I thought Nathan was seriously interested in manufacturing something like this I'd be all in, but....

Well, you've already revolutionized my cutting life. If you wanted to revolutionize my gardening life also, I wouldn't be at all opposed. I have to sharpen my hoes way too much.
