When and What will be the next pre-order?
Bowie? Folder? Reaper? Something else?
I wasn’t around for the other pre-orders and hope there’s one soon 😁
I reserve the right to be wrong, and I would be very happy to have Nathan sling egg in my face over this one because I hope it doesn't end up being the case, but I believe the pre-orders are now a thing of the past. Nathan addressed this here on the sub not long after the last one. It was one thing when the preorder resulted in Nathan needing to make 50 knives to fill it, which he could knock out on a reasonable timeline. Now, a preorder can be for hundreds and hundreds of knives and requires a much longer timeline to fill. Orders that size result in hundreds to literally thousands of email exchanges that Jo has to make answering same questions while we all flip flop on what it is we want. Then, couple that with the fact that some of us are thirsty, needy, entitled little twats that a week after the order closes we start asking for updates, progress reports, pictures, what's on the white board, are these on time, and so on and so on. The truth is guys, Nathan, Jo, CPK as a whole, don't need to put up with any of that bullshit to sell every knife they can make, and I think Nathan has finally realized it.

While the popularity of CPK has grown to make the size of these orders something that complicates them continuing, we, the members of this sub, the knuckleheads, dare I say it, the CoCKs(sorry Nathan, I had to use it), have to accept that some of us have made the process less than enjoyable for Jo and company with our impatience to accept nothing less than constant updates on the orders. If you cant follow that train of thought, then you are likely one of the "we" I am referring to. Again, hoping Nathan comes in here and says I am full of chit, but I am not willing to hold my breath till he does.

It's always helpful once in awhile to try and put ourselves in the shoes of those responsible for making a product we are enthused about - can be a sobering experience.

Now that you’ve written all that, my addled brain seems to remember reading something similar elsewhere and makes sense.

Well crap then, I have not ordered anything in Magna and not really planning to unless something like a CPK-Kitchen comes to becoming reality.

In the spirit of ANAQ:

Any serious New Year’s resolution which you feel that you can commit to? Here’s mine: to be even nicer, more benevolent and giving toward people!

Nah, who am I kidding? I’ve resolved to dislike the ones I didn’t like to begin with, even more so! LOL…
