Order here: https://www.bladeforums.com/help/2024-traditional/ - Order as many as you like, we have plenty.
*NOTNATHAN* Wasn't the preorder for 100, with the assumption that he was making enough to be reasonably sure of 100 intact swords after heat treat with the unknown effects of the Delta protocol on the sori potentially cracking blades? So one might reasonably think 100 total swords and ideally maybe a max of 50 extras if the steel comes through heat treat fine on all the blanks?Nathan the Machinist

It's not me you need to worry about. You've got 141 days to prepare to race D dericdesmond . He does like Bourbon so your plan
Note to self: bring DD’s favorite bourbon to Atlanta. It's not me you need to worry about. You've got 141 days to prepare to race D dericdesmond . He does like Bourbon so your plan might work.
So you’re saying there’s a chance*NOTNATHAN* Wasn't the preorder for 100, with the assumption that he was making enough to be reasonably sure of 100 intact swords after heat treat with the unknown effects of the Delta protocol on the sori potentially cracking blades? There is also a chance that the heat treat doesn't work at all for these and we end up with no K20s.So you’re saying there’s a chance![]()

Dumb question. Why wouldn't the heat treat work? There is also a chance that the heat treat doesn't work at all for these and we end up with no K20s.
#stillnotnathan if I recall it was that Nathan wasn't sure about how the heat treat would affect the sori. IIRC traditional Japanese swords often developed the sori from the differential heat treatment since the different parts of the blades were cooling at different rates during tempering.Dumb question. Why wouldn't the heat treat work?
I'm sneaky fast for a fat guyIt's not me you need to worry about. You've got 141 days to prepare to race D dericdesmond . He does like Bourbon so your plan might work.
As long as we get past 25 and I'm happy lol*NOTNATHAN* Wasn't the preorder for 100, with the assumption that he was making enough to be reasonably sure of 100 intact swords after heat treat with the unknown effects of the Delta protocol on the sori potentially cracking blades? Sheesh - getting to the CPK table at the show sounds way more stressful than getting in on a hot Friday sale.
