The "Ask Nathan a Question" Thread

I’d love to go someday but the whole “frenzy” of backpack laden grown children running like maniacs to get knives puts me off haha. I F’n hate standing in lines and getting pushed around playing assholes and elbows all day too.

Maybe it’s not like this when you’re actually there but damn, watching the videos Blade Show themselves puts up, it sure seems like it.

Great score on that HT trapper by the way 🍻

I'm with you 100%. My wife hates having me with her in heavily populated areas - I guess I get irritable in a hurry. It's still an experience I'd like to have someday though.

And thank you! I'm thrilled I could score one in Bone Stag too.

I don't need a K20 or Boot Dagger ... but if I can convince myself I won't melt or have an overwhelming desire to drive my truck over ... lets say more than 10 others vehicles ... a CPK get together could be quite interesting. I've been telling Jonny aka 91bravo 91bravo was going to try and make it down to Blade at some point.

Maybe the northern CPK Hoardes should load the longship and invade.

P.S. ... just count me in for the drinking and silly games after the crowds and lolly scrambles to buy stuff.

Zero scramble or shoulder to shoulder last year. Was choosing all by my lonesome for what seemed like eternity once the doors opened. Was very surprised and fortunate.
I imagine like most of us, the average blade Blade attendee is interested in a lot more makers than tables where he can physically be present at one time. I've pared down my focus a lot and I'd still struggle to know where to go first.

Been that guy a few times. Have also had the ankles bit a time or two from fellow junkies. This time however was just straight up odd. Based on the Friday sales I was expecting next level mayham but what I got was the opposite. Imagine scoring a Boot Dagger, K18, 2 MCs, 2 HDFKs, westinghouse satin uf2, tero def2, badmfer uf2, one of a kind basic 5 plus a few others without any competition. Out of 10 blade shows Ive attended it was easily the most memorable/glorious 10 minutes Ive ever spent in Atlanta. Didnt expect even one but would of been completely content if that was all I got particularly the only Boot Dagger 😁

There were even more kick ass models I wanted to buy but for the first time in my life took other junkies into consideration. Probably walked by the table an extra 10+ times while letting Jo Ima be back to buy that if someone else doesn’t of which they did hours before the show ended Saturday. Just honestly expected it all to be gone within the first hour.

Have a feeling I only made it harder for myself this year by sharing last years pics as well as this book 😁 Whatevs im sitting pretty fat and pretty now so not too much worry 😁

I try to bring enough inventory for all weekend
Most of the makers I spent my time with at the Blade Show were (nearly) bled dry by Thursday night...with only a handful of pieces left by the opening on Friday.

They had to be insistent or they'd have nothing on the table to show. (And often, many pieces on the table were already spoken for.)

This scares me....I could only imagine if I get this trip to work out... driving 9 hrs there , the stuff I want gone and driving 9hrs back with my wife giving me "that look" the whole time.... hahaha

Oof... you mean kinda like gun shows, where all the dealers look over every one else's stuff to snag the goodies for themselves before the unwashed masses get to peruse what's left?
