Nah. I've been wanting to make one of these for years but I think I'll have it out on my system after this one.

Outside of the pre-order, it is starting to look like possibly not. We will see how it shakes out.

Nate generally does things in runs (different patterns require retooling etc.), so the different knives become available in batches, after which, the pattern isn't necessarily 'retired/discontinued'.

They're oftentimes revisited again later, but if you want one, get them while the pattern is still in production/being released. Otherwise, you end up either waiting for the revisit, or trying the secondary market.

That’s a heck of a lot easier said than done unfortunately, because I do want one.

Wanting one is only a small portion of the battle.

He mentioned somewhere that the DEK1 would be continuing but to 2 and 3 were done after this.

I see the DEK1 being a standard pattern in the future. 2 and 3 were some fun variations but I don't anticipate running them again.
