The "Ask Nathan a Question" Thread

I’ve find your work over the past few weeks and after doing some model comparison I’ve decided I want to try and purchase a SDFK signature series. 2 quick questions, has the signature series of this knife been discontinued or do you still make the signature series version? if you still make this knife what price point can I expect ? Also if you had any idea as to when I could expect to see one of these come available that would be awesome to know.

Not Nathan but wanted to give you some info since the CPK crew is busy preparing for Blade Show in addition to fulfilling preorders/Friday sales orders.

The SS SDFK might be done for now - this comment had asked about it back in March: https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/the-next-sale.1405869/page-192#post-21812025

Best shot now is to look for a used one being sold.

One other suggestion is that you are welcome to post a Want To Buy ad here in this link. Because you are a free (Registered Member), you will only see your ad, but any paid Member Gold and higher sees all the ads. You will have good exposure there.

Yes I have a Question for Nathan ! ...
And it's about the DEK3 I believe that it's the DEK model with the least amount of knives made for it !...with the magnacut verison being even more so limited to the amount of blades made that I think that there is less than 250 DEK's in magnacut and probably about double the amount of blades for the DEK series of knives made out of the DELTA 3V protocol... So my question is just how many DEK3's in magnacut steel have actually been made? ...and my next question is how many DEK3's in Delta3V have been made ? ... My final question for dek3 post.
Is it safe to say that the DEK3 model is the knife with the least amount of blades made total ?...
Example there's 2500 DEK1 made and 1500 DEK2 and only 500 DEK3'S made total ... And even less because of the set backs you've had with the magnacut steel ....as I saw on the DEK3 thread that Nathan had posted this

"No plans on another run. I think there are about 60 unspoken for that we will be releasing at Blade show and later in the year"

Nathan posted this on page 6 of the DEK3 thread and to make things a little bit easier it's post 103 on that DEK3 thread...

So with that in mind it seems to me like the DEK3 in both Magnacut and Delta3V are indeed very very limited in terms of how many DEK3's in both steels are out in the wild and it starting to look like not very many of either when compared to the other two models of the DEK !...

I tend to lose my phone every few months and I rarely remember my emails, passwords etc so I just start a new account every time I lose my phone... which is a pain in the rear but it's the easiest way for me to get back in to the chat ...
