The "Ask Nathan a Question" Thread

^ time for a mini vacay to Moorseville, NC and a visit to the CPK Compound... Take out Nathan / Jo for a very nice dinner. Don't also forget some fine alcohol because that stuff lubricate the limbic system and Nathan will open up to you with a few how-to secrets!

You can do it Dave, in you I trust :)

I'd go straight up to the front door with the booze this time. No one can refuse Johnny Walker Blue and I certainly don't want to get caught digging in the creek again.

I'd suggest that if you wanted to dig in the creek you dress like a Sasquatch to get away with it.

But then you'd probably get shot.

I love the look of those. I'm very impressed by how you got them to come out.

I'm going to have to dig in and learn how to accomplish that. I can do most regrinds without much trouble on the Burr-King, but swedges throw me. Cheers sir.

I forget you have a Burr King. I got mine from Tom McGinnis from Ozark Knife Makers. He has been awesome with support and teaching. Swedges are something I am learning. Not an easy thing,i agree.

That is very cool that you are learning this Brian. Some stuff I can accomplish on the tool & cutter grinder we've got, at least on knives like CPK's with removable scales. On the t&c grinder I can clamp solid. Freehanding on the Burr King I'm much less sure of myself. My Burr King came with the acquisition of a working shop and it is an older machine and could use some TLC some day soon. Thanks for the heads up about Mr. McGinnis.

The dogs can't get to the creek. Neither can law enforcement....

MikeKu, thanks for the reply and they are two popular people for sure, for good reason !!

Jo thank you; I received your PM/Conversation and replied :)

(I would have used the "quote" button, but for some reason it is not working for me)

Nothing more pathetic than a pit who can't hold his liquor...

It's true what they say-- give a dog a little firewater and the first thing he loses is his moral compass, the next thing to go is his trousers...

Are you speaking about a dog, or "that guy" that everyone knows of one? Because I was like, "wow, Petey2.1 totally knows John, as if he was also here last weekend".
