That is vintage "International Paper".

Crusty just means it came from an outside surface, so the tang side would be solid dark brown, almost like it was on a liner. That isn't crusty, but that doesn't mean it isn't interesting.

I've got great big blocks of the material that I cut into slabs but only the top and bottom surface form "crusty", because they touched the oxygen and have formed a dark crust.

However, there is some material from interior Micarta that is also very fascinating.

The color gradations are naturally forming and some are more striking than others. Jo picked out some interesting material for that one.

I don’t see anything about Boker and UF2 searching the web. Any more deets on the subject?

They're doing a run of 2000. Unfortunately 3V was not in the budget so it will be in VG 10. I personally like VG-10 so, of my options, that was the one I selected.

Nate my wife hates you, just when I said I’d bought enough knives and would do no more this year you announce another sale!

Whats the pricing on the basic 5? And is it 20 total or 20 each of magnacut and 3V?

20 total

Also...

We're setting up to do the 10-inch chopper soon and I'm entertaining the notion of doing a small micro run of the 12-inch Behemoth while I'm set up for it....
