Years back I was bowhunting for deer at a ranch in Texas. A truck pulls up with a ranch-hand who jumps out exclaiming he just got a trophy javelina. He drops the tailgate to show it off and the ranch owner asked what he got it with. The hand says “A 350”. Another guy questioned him”a 350?”. The ranch hand starts laughing saying “hell yes- a Chevy 350”. Good bumper/grill guards are awesome.![]()
Knew a guy that had the Oregon state record for elk road kills in a single incident for a while. Driving east heading home on Hwy 30 from Astoria on a foggy night in an F-350 and found a herd on the road. Something like 10-12 elk, if not more. Dude felt horrible, but in WA and OR most road kill or poaching recovery that was still good went to foodbanks and such back in the day. There had been higher numbers from trains, but he killed it (sorry) from a motor vehicle standpoint.
