The could be for Nathan or anyone, I don’t really know anything about Kydex. I noticed this split in the sheath yesterday of my new BFK. will it get worse or no?

The Kydex sheath is made of two pieces of plastic and you're seeing the joint there.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "will it get worse". Will a sheath come apart there and become two halves? No. Will the appearance and nature and texture change over time with use, probably.

That isn't something to worry about, it is not a functional concern. It doesn't affect the function of the sheath or its longevity and I would not consider it a flaw, it's an artifact of its design and construction.

Simply put, due to the fact that the 2 pieces of kydex are riveted together; no, it won’t get worse. The rivets will prevent that.

If it bothers you, could try filling it with black caulk.

Not to worry. The rivets keep the sheath intact. Mashed Cat is the best in the kydex business. This sometimes happens and should not get worse or matter at all.

Thanks gents, I wasn't sure if it'd end up splitting the whole way around. I wasn't too worried about the rivets coming apart or anything.
